He died on 8 November 1996 Crisp Regional Hospital, Cordele, Crisp County, Georgia, at age 81; Metastatic Prostate Cancer.3 He was buried on 10 November 1996 Sunnyside Cemetery, Cordele, Crisp County, Georgia.3
